TAYLOR 49 IN THE WORKS

Once the two new Eggemoggin 47′s (LYNNETTE & IRIS) move out of the main shop area work will begin on Brooklin Boat Yard’s next new construction project which is a Jim Taylor designed 49′ sloop to be used by her owner for racing and cruising here on the coast of Maine.
This new Jim Taylor design will be the third boat to be built by Brooklin Boat Yard for her owner. His two boats previous to this were both designed by Bob Stephens during his tenure at the design office here at Brooklin Boat Yard and were also used by her owner for cruising and racing with the emphasis being more cruise than race.
This new boat will reverse the order of emphasis putting racing first in line while at the same time offering comfortable accommodations for her owner and crew .
