On the new construction front Brooklin Boat Yard is well into the building of two boats and a third boat will be started just as soon as Brooklin Design Associates can provide the crew with working drawings. The photo below shows the two boats presently under construction.

To the left is a Bob Stephens designed 59′ ketch which her owner plans to use for extensive cruising expeditions and offshore passage-making. At the time of this writing (late Sept 2006) the hull has been completely planked and is now being faired prior to application of the final glass cloth skin.
The boat to the right will be named ANNA and she is a Sparkman & Stephens designed racing / cruising sloop that will appear very reminiscent (from the waterline up) of the classic S&S design STORMY WEATHER but will (Below the waterline) sport modern shapes and thought with regard to her keel and rudder.
